Old Videos, New Controversy: Is Yash’s Team Changing the Toxic Failure Narrative?
Just when the conversation around Toxic is dominated by audience criticism, old videos of Allu Aravind garu have suddenly started resurfacing across social media.
The timing says a lot.
A statement made years ago is being presented as a new controversy, with attempts to make it look like an attack on Yash and Kannada cinema. The result? Telugu and Kannada fans are being pushed into yet another unnecessary social media fight.
But the statement itself hardly supports that narrative.
Allu Aravind garu spoke about the impact of KGF and the way the film elevated Yash’s visibility across the country. Yash has himself spoken about the massive change KGF brought to his career.
So what is the need to revive it now?
The obvious outcome is that the conversation moves away from Toxic and towards a completely different issue fan wars, language pride and manufactured outrage.
This becomes even more questionable considering Allu Aravind garu’s long standing support for Kannada cinema. He has helped bring Kannada films to Telugu audiences, including Kantara, which received tremendous appreciation in Telugu states.
There was never a Telugu-Kannada conflict here.
Creating one now, when the focus should be on #Toxic, looks like nothing more than a desperate attempt to create sympathy and change the narrative
