Vijay Raj Kumar: “When Chiranjeevi garu believes in me, I should believe in myself too”

The teaser of ‘Delulu’, a youthful entertainer made for today’s Gen Z audience, has been unveiled at a media event. Produced by Sankeerth Konda under the Kreative Launch Pad banner and directed by debutant Preetham Kasturi, the film stars Vijay Raj Kumar, Veni Rao, Sai Prasanna, Akhil Jackson and Sreerama Mandava in key roles.

The film takes its title from the popular Gen Z term “Delulu” and promises a fresh, contemporary story with entertainment at its core. The team is confident that the subject, characters and youthful treatment will connect strongly with younger audiences.

At the event, cinematographer Jai Raj Naidu thanked the director and producer for the opportunity and said the film had been a long journey for the team. He appreciated producer Sankeerth Konda for trusting his work and expressed confidence that the movie would keep audiences entertained throughout.

Editor Harikrishna Kurapati said the film brought together a team of newcomers who worked with great enthusiasm. He hoped audiences would enjoy the fun-filled content and support the film.

Music director Aadi Chebrolu said “Delulu” reflects the language and culture of Gen Z. He thanked producer Sankeerth Konda for encouraging the newcomers and said working on the film had been a memorable experience.

Actor Akhil Jackson expressed his happiness at being part of the project and thanked the entire team for giving him the opportunity. He also acknowledged his mother for being a major source of support in his journey.

Actresses Veni Rao and Sai Prasanna thanked the media and the audience for attending the event. They said the entire team had worked hard and requested everyone to support the film.

Director Preetham Kasturi, who is making his debut with ‘Delulu’, thanked the media, guests and the entire technical team. He said filmmaking is a collective effort and appreciated everyone who contributed to the project. He particularly thanked producer Sankeerth Konda and hero Vijay Raj Kumar for trusting him with his first film.

Preetham added that music and dialogues will be among the major highlights of the movie, and promised that the songs in the film will offer an even better experience than what audiences heard in the teaser.

Actor Krishna, known for his role in ‘Jigirees’, praised the teaser and appreciated the team’s promotional efforts. He wished the entire team success.

Director Akki Viswanatha Reddy, who made ‘Secret Soldier’, also appreciated the teaser and said the film appeared to have the potential to connect with audiences.

Speaking at the event, hero Vijay Raj Kumar thanked the media and spoke about the journey behind ‘Delulu’.

He said producer Sankeerth Konda played a crucial role in bringing the film to life. Vijay explained that he narrated the story to Sankeerth during a brief phone call, after which the producer immediately agreed to back the project. He said this trust is the reason the teaser carries the line “Believed by Sankeerth Konda.”

Vijay said the team wanted to present a different kind of story and give audiences a new experience. He added that they began promoting the film well ahead of its release and conducted several promotional activities to introduce the title to young audiences.

According to Vijay, after watching the dubbed version of the film, producer Sankeerth Konda decided to increase the marketing budget and promote the movie on a larger scale.

He appreciated the work of cinematographer Jai Raj Naidu, music director Aadi Chebrolu, editor Harikrishna Kurapati, the heroines, Akhil Jackson and the rest of the team. He also praised debutant director Preetham Kasturi for delivering a promising first film.

Vijay further thanked writer Reshmit S Kaushik, PRO Madhu, Ajay and the Star Circle team for their support.

Recalling an important moment from his career, Vijay revealed that Megastar Chiranjeevi had once appreciated his work through a message. He also spoke about seeing a WhatsApp status posted by Chiranjeevi.

Vijay said, “When Chiranjeevi garu believes in me as a hero, I should also believe in myself.” He added that this thought gave him the confidence to start afresh and approach his career with renewed belief.

He concluded by saying that Chiranjeevi garu’s WhatsApp status changed his life, and that ‘Delulu’ is now ready to meet audiences.
