“Raakaasa” Success Meet Celebrates Strong Theatrical Run; ₹100 Ticket Offer Announced
The Raakaasa Blockbuster Distributors Success Meet was held in a grand and celebratory manner, bringing together distributors, exhibitors, media, and the core team behind one of the season’s most successful films. The event marked the film’s consistent performance at the box office and its growing popularity among audiences.
Released across 480 screens in its first week, Raakaasa continues to hold strong in over 300 screens in its second week—an impressive feat in today’s theatrical scenario. Strengthening its reach further, the makers have announced a flat ₹100 ticket price across all single screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from April 10, making the film more accessible to a wider audience.
The film has emerged as a clear family entertainer, drawing strong footfall from families, women, and children. Its light-hearted narrative, humour, and engaging content have resulted in repeat audiences and steady collections across regions.
Distributors from various territories expressed their happiness over the film’s performance, stating that the film is nearing breakeven and is expected to enter the profit zone soon. Many highlighted the rare trend of families returning to theatres and appreciated the consistent audience response.
Executive Producer Manyam Ramesh acknowledged the challenges in film distribution and credited distributors and exhibitors for taking the film effectively to audiences despite seasonal challenges like summer and IPL.
Director Manasa Sharma thanked the audience and distributors, expressing joy over the strong female audience turnout and calling it a special achievement for a film written by a woman.
Actor Brahmaji appreciated the team’s efforts and noted that the film has successfully brought audiences, especially families, back to theatres. He also shared that many viewers are watching the film multiple times.
Distributor Ravi Shankar (Mythri Movies) described Raakaasa as a “cool breeze in this hot summer” and expressed confidence that the film will enjoy a long theatrical run.
Producer Niharika Konidela expressed heartfelt gratitude to audiences, distributors, and her team. She reiterated her commitment to delivering films that satisfy both “heart and pocket” and emphasized her vision of creating clean, enjoyable family entertainers.
Hero Sangeeth Sobhan thanked the media and distributors, calling them the backbone of the film’s success. He shared that witnessing families enjoy the film in theatres was the most rewarding experience.
The team also hinted at the possibility of a sequel, with Raakaasa 2 currently in the discussion stage.
With strong word-of-mouth, repeat audiences, and the newly introduced ticket pricing initiative, Raakaasa continues its successful theatrical journey as a widely accepted family entertainer.
