‘Rakshasapuram’ to captivate audiences as a unique crime thriller; set for release this month
Renowned producer K.S. Rama Rao is presenting the Kannada superhit Rakkasapuradol to Telugu audiences under the title Rakshasapuram. The film stars Raj B. Shetty in the lead role and is produced by K. Ravi Varma under the K.N. Entertainments banner. Directed by Ravi Saranga, the movie is being released in Telugu under the Creative Commercials banner.
At a recent event held at FNCC, Hyderabad, K.S. Rama Rao spoke about the film and his journey.
He shared that his career began with a dubbed film, recalling the success of Erra Gulabeelu starring Kamal Haasan. After a long gap, he is once again presenting a dubbed film with Rakshasapuram.
Rama Rao praised director Ravi Saranga for crafting the film as a gripping and unique crime thriller. He said he was highly impressed after watching it and immediately decided to bring it to Telugu audiences.
Explaining the title, he mentioned that the story revolves around a hero who destroys evil forces in a village, which led to the name Rakshasapuram. Drawing a parallel to his 1986 film Rakshasudu starring Chiranjeevi, he said that while the title may sound intense, the hero’s actions are ultimately for a good cause.
He expressed confidence that the film will connect well with today’s audience and announced that it will be released by the end of this month. He also requested audience support for the film.
