Sharwanand Launches Teaser of Stylish Crime Comedy ‘Baa Baaa Black Sheep’
The makers of ‘Baa Baaa Black Sheep’, a stylish crime comedy produced by Venu Donepudi under the Chitralayam Studios banner, have kicked promotions into high gear with an exciting teaser launch. Directed by Guni Manchikanti, the film was officially launched in October 2025, and earlier, Tharun Bhascker unveiled its intriguing motion poster.
Adding more buzz on the festive occasion of Vasantha Panchami, Sharwanand—fresh off the blockbuster success of Nari Nari Naduma Murari unveiled the teaser and shared his appreciation for its rich visuals and energetic presentation, wishing the team the very best.
The teaser sets the tone for a quirky, high-stakes ride involving guns, gold, and a city-wide comic chase featuring six individuals. The plot revolves around a flamboyant gangster, a bunch of misfit friends, eccentric criminals, and a chaotic hunt triggered by the discovery of Mahatma Gandhi’s “missing watch.” As greed and crime collide, the story promises a rollercoaster of twists, misunderstandings, witty one-liners, and situational comedy.
Producer Venu Donepudi shared that the film blends a gripping crime plot with humour-driven chaos, where character dynamics, sharp dialogues, and irony play a major role in keeping the entertainment quotient high.
A major highlight of the film is that ‘Baa Baaa Black Sheep’ is the first movie to be shot entirely in Meghalaya. The stunning landscapes of the northeastern state form a key part of the narrative, with the production team partnering with the Meghalaya Government for smooth shooting. Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma also called the project a landmark step in boosting Meghalaya’s creative economy and tourism.
Currently in post-production, the film is aiming for a summer release, and the teaser already hints at a fun-packed crime comedy with a stylish edge.
