How NTR and MGR Inspired Pawan Kalyan’s Role in Hari Hara Veera Mallu
As the release date of Hari Hara Veera Mallu draws closer (July 24), excitement around the film is sky-high. Now, director Jyothi Krisna has shared an interesting insight into how legendary stars like NTR and MGR helped shape Pawan Kalyan’s character in the film.
Jyothi Krisna reveals that the larger-than-life personas of NTR and MGR played a key role in how he envisioned Pawan’s role. “Both NTR and MGR weren’t just actorsthey were icons who stood for values, justice, and leadership. I saw those same qualities in Pawan Kalyan,” the director shares.
Taking inspiration from MGR, who continued to act in socially impactful films even after becoming Chief Minister, Jyothi Krisna composed a meaningful song titled ‘Maata Vinali’. “The song urges people to follow the path of truth and positivity. It reflects Pawan Kalyan’s own ideology and has already struck an emotional chord with audiences,” he says.
Similarly, the legendary NTR’s mythological rolesespecially as Lord Rama with the bow and arrowleft a lasting impression. Jyothi Krisna wanted to channel that aura into Hari Hara Veera Mallu. “The bow and arrow became a powerful symbol of dharma and justice. That’s exactly what we’ve used for Pawan’s characterit represents his strength and commitment to fight for what’s right.”
He adds, “When I was writing the script, I wasn’t just thinking about a hero. I was thinking about a leader. So, every scene had to be impactful, with a deeper meaning.”
By blending cinematic grandeur with strong values, Hari Hara Veera Mallu aims to present Pawan Kalyan in a role that is both powerful and timelessmuch like the legends who inspired it.
