Divine Saga ‘Kannappa’ Set for June 27 Release – Grand Pre-Release Celebrations Held in Guntur
The much-awaited epic Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu, is all set to hit theatres on June 27. As part of its grand promotional campaign, a star-studded pre-release event was held in Guntur on June 7, where the team shared heartfelt experiences and divine connections with the film.
Veteran actor and producer Dr. Mohan Babu, speaking at the event, shared emotional memories. “My mother was born with hearing loss. I always wished she could hear the praise people give me today. We’ve worked on Kannappa for over 7–8 years with full dedication. I believe Lord Shiva himself is blessing this film.”
He expressed deep gratitude to Prabhas, calling him not just a superstar, but family. “We’ve called each other ‘bava’ for years. He joined this film out of love and respect. May he live a hundred years.” He also praised Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Sarath Kumar, saying they all came on board as if chosen by divine will. He thanked Prabhudeva, calling him one of the world’s finest dance masters, and requested everyone to bless the film.
Vishnu Manchu, the lead actor and driving force behind the project, spoke with emotion and pride. “This journey began with our first roadshow in Guntur – the memories are still fresh. I owe everything to my father. For me, he’s more than a parent – he’s my God.”
Vishnu recalled the unwavering support from Brahmanandam, Prabhudeva, and every artist and technician involved. He highlighted how director Mukesh Kumar Singh stepped into the project without knowing Telugu, driven by passion. “Everyone who worked on Kannappa was chosen by Lord Shiva. This is not just a film, it’s a spiritual experience,” he said. “After decades, we are retelling Kannappa’s story, and I feel blessed to be part of this journey.”
Brahmanandam, who plays a key role, praised Vishnu’s dedication on and off-screen. “Though Mohan Babu garu is the producer, Vishnu carried the entire film. The attention he gave to every detail – from visuals to VFX – is remarkable.”
Raghu Babu described the film as a mix of devotion, entertainment, and stunning visuals shot in New Zealand. Siva Balaji added that Kannappa will stand the test of time. “It’s a story that connects with today’s youth too.”
Bigg Boss fame Kaushal, who plays ‘Mani’ in the film, thanked the team for the opportunity. “This version of Kannappa is grand and relevant. Mohan Babu garu took care of us like family during the shoot in New Zealand.”
With a powerhouse cast including Vishnu Manchu, Preity Mukundhan, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, Kajal Aggarwal, and many more, Kannappa is shaping up to be a cinematic spectacle. Backed by Ava Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory, and directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the film promises a spiritual and visual journey for audiences across generations.
