The much-anticipated Telugu film ShashtiPoorthi, directed by Pavan Prabha and produced by Rupeysh under the MAA AAIE Productions banner, is gearing up for its theatrical release on May 30. Featuring Rupeysh and Akanksha Singh in the lead roles, the film also boasts stellar performances by iconic actors Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Archana in pivotal roles. With soulful music by Ilaiyaraaja and art direction by Thota Tharani, the film has already generated buzz through its teaser and songs.
The trailer was unveiled on May 24 at a grand launch event held at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada, in the presence of esteemed guests, including MLAs Gadde Ramamohan (Vijayawada East) and Bode Prasad (Penamaluru).

When I first heard the title ShashtiPoorthi, I was amused. It felt like the film was reflecting my own age and journey. I’ve dodged my real-life ShashtiPoorthi celebrations but cinema has caught up with me!
This film is deeply rooted in Telugu culture and traditions. Children rarely get to see their parents’ wedding, but this film is about a celebration where they witness their parents remarry a beautiful ritual of love and respect.
Ilaiyaraaja garu’s music, Keeravani’s lyrics, and Chaitanya Prasad’s penmanship have elevated the film. It was a joy reuniting with Archana after many years. I thank Rupeysh, Akanksha, and director Pavan Prabha for bringing this story to life. Please support our film on May 30.
