Director Amar Kamepalli explained, “Many say they don’t enjoy horror, but that’s only because they haven’t seen it done right. Ghatikachalam blends horror with deep emotional layersespecially the father-son dynamic. It’s like Bommarillu meets a suspense thriller. With contributions from top-notch technicians like Italian composer Favio G. Cuccurullo and DOP Manoj, we’ve created a technically rich, emotionally resonant film. We considered taking it to international festivals but decided to first connect with our Telugu audience.”
Hero Nikhil Devadula, transitioning from a child artist to lead actor, said, “Having acted in over 70 films as a kid, Ghatikachalam marks a new chapter. The role was intensemy character shifts emotionally scene to scene. We didn’t compromise on quality. I hope audiences enjoy both the teaser and trailer, and ultimately, the film.”
Producer SKN shared, “Maruthi watched the film and was thoroughly impressedthat’s how I came on board. The story, the music by Favio, the moodit all feels so real. Within minutes, the film draws you into its world. This genre gives new talent the perfect platform to showcase their skills. Horror needs to be experienced in theaters, especially for the sound and atmosphere. I also want to highlight that we need to address rising ticket and snack pricesit’s hurting theater footfalls. Theaters are the heart of our industry; we need to revive them. Also, watch out for a The Raja Saab update soon!”
