Niharika Konidela’s “Committee Kurrollu” Shines Bright with Two Major Wins at Gaddar Telangana Film Awards
Actor-producer Niharika Konidela’s bold production, Committee Kurrollu, has once again captured attentionthis time at the esteemed Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2024. The film, which debuted on August 9, 2024, earned critical acclaim alongside commercial success, and today it was honored with two significant awards by the Telangana government.
Committee Kurrollu took home the award for Best Feature Film on National Integration, Communal Harmony, and Social Upliftment of Depressed Classes, while director Yadhu Vamsi was recognized as the Best Debut Director. This year marks a special occasion as the state government reinstated the Telangana Film Awards after a long hiatus, celebrating excellence in regional cinema.

Set in the culturally rich Godavari region of Andhra Pradesh, Committee Kurrollu narrates the story of a close-knit group of friends whose unity is tested by conflict, revealing the delicate balance of community harmony.
The film features a talented ensemble of new faces including Sandeep Saroj, Trinadh Varma, P. Sai Kumar, Goparaju Ramana, Raadhya, Prasad Behara, Manikanta Parasu, Lokesh Kumar Parimi, Yaswanth Pendyala, among others, delivering powerful performances.
