Dil Raju’s SVC to Release Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s “L2E: Empuraan” in Telugu
Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran are set to take audiences on an electrifying journey with their much-awaited film, L2E: Empuraan. A sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer, this high-octane political action thriller is the second chapter of an ambitious trilogy. The film is slated for a grand worldwide release on March 27, 2025, in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi.
Bringing L2E: Empuraan to Telugu audiences, leading distribution house Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC), led by Dil Raju, has acquired the theatrical rights for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Known for delivering blockbuster releases, SVC is ensuring an extensive and powerful rollout for this much-anticipated film.
Alongside Mohanlal, the film boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Saniya Iyappan, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, Fazil, Sachin Khedekar, Nyla Usha, Giju John, Nandhu, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Manikuttan, Aneesh G. Menon, Sshivada, Alexx O'Nell, Eriq Ebouaney, Mikhail Novikov, and Karthikeya Dev. Notably, Jerome Flynn, known for his role in Game of Thrones, makes his Indian cinema debut with a pivotal role in L2E: Empuraan.
The film’s production kicked off on October 5, 2023, in Faridabad and later expanded to multiple locations, including Shimla, Leh, the UK, the US, Chennai, Gujarat, Hyderabad, the UAE, Mumbai, and Kerala.
The makers launched the film’s teaser in Kochi on January 26, setting the stage for an exhilarating promotional campaign. This was followed by character-introduction posters from February 9, culminating in the grand reveal of Mohanlal’s intense first-look poster on February 26.
