Victory Venkatesh, blockbuster hit machine Anil Ravipudi, and the most successful banner Sri Venkateswara Creations have come together for the highly anticipated movie Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. Presented by Dil Raju and produced by Sirish, this grand project features Meenakshi Chaudhary and Aishwarya Rajesh as the lead actresses. Sensational composer Bheems Ceciroleo is helming the music. The already-released songs have created massive buzz and are trending as chartbusters. Releasing on January 14, the film promises to be a perfect festive entertainer.
Ahead of the release, music director Bheems Ceciroleo interacted with the media and shared his journey with the film.
How did the project start? How did you get involved?
“Firstly, I thank the Telugu audience for their unwavering support. I initially got an opportunity to work on Anil Ravipudi's Pataas, but it didn’t materialize back then. After 13 years, I finally collaborated with Anil Garu on this project. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity.
Working on Dil Raju Garu's production earlier for Balagam, I received the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award as a music director. Now, collaborating with Dil Raju Garu again for a film featuring Venkatesh Garu and Anil Garu is a dream come true. I see this as a blessing and an honor for the respect my music has earned.”
Your experience working on this project?
“Following consecutive hits like Dhamaka, Mad, Balagam, Razakar, and Tillu Square, this opportunity came my way. Working with Anil Garu has been a joyous experience. I’ve learned a lot from him. His passion for music and lyrics reflects in the film's songs, which are resonating in every household and village.
I consider working for Venkatesh Garu’s film as divine intervention. The highlight for me was the blockbuster Pongal song, which Venkatesh Garu himself sang. It was surreal and an achievement in my career. Learning from him has been an inspiring experience.”
About the songs and their reception
“The song Godari Gattu, sung by Ramana Gogula Garu, is trending with over 70 million views. Getting him to sing was a stroke of luck. His positive feedback on the song's soulfulness was a huge compliment. Similarly, Madhupreeya delivered a stellar performance.
The song Meenu, which I sang, is trending with 17 million views. Venkatesh Garu’s rendition of the blockbuster song has gone viral, further elevating the film’s buzz.
I also worked on the background score, and just like the blockbuster Pongal song, I’m confident the audience will witness a blockbuster film this Sankranti.”
What genre is this film?
“It’s a clean family entertainer that everyone can enjoy together. It promises to be a delightful festive experience.”
How did you convince Ramana Gogula to sing?
“I’ve admired Ramana Gogula Garu since his Thammudu days. His music has always inspired me. When he heard the song, he immediately agreed, saying it had soul. Getting such a compliment from someone of his stature is priceless.”
Your feelings about working with Venkatesh Garu?
“I hadn’t met Venkatesh Garu in person before this film. When I learned I’d be working on his movie, memories of his films and posters flashed before my eyes. Anil Garu made the process seamless with his clarity and feedback, which helped the album turn out so well.”
On lyricists and teamwork
“Lyricists like Bhaskarabhatla Garu, Ramajogayya Sastry Garu, and Anantha Sriram Garu have added immense value to this album. The lyrics were written after the tunes were composed, ensuring the songs were in perfect harmony.”
Support from Dil Raju Garu
“Dil Raju Garu has been incredibly supportive. Working under such a prestigious banner is a matter of pride. His encouragement has been instrumental in this journey.”
Does this film feel like a milestone?
“I don’t see it as climbing a step higher but rather as an opportunity to do more work and contribute to more people. I wish for everyone in the industry to find great opportunities.”
Next Projects?
“I’m working on films like Mad 2, Mass Jathara, Tyson Naidu, and Dacoit. There’s a lot to look forward to.”
All the best for Sankranthi!
“Thank you!”
