aha announces its new original, Taragathi Gadhi Daati, the official remake of TVF's hit show FLAMES
100% Telugu OTT platform aha, that has redefined the conventions of entertainment in the Telugu digital space housing the biggest blockbusters and pathbreaking web shows, proudly announces its latest web series titled Taragathi Gadhi Daati. The series, presented by Center Fresh, that captures the innocence of teenage romance is the official Telugu remake of the hit TVF original FLAMES. Directed by Mallik Ram, the man behind the popular web series Pelli Gola, the show stars Harshith Reddy, Payal Radhakrishna and Nikhil Devadula in key roles. The first poster of the show brims with innocence and charm in an idyllic setting, with two happy-go-lucky youngsters chatting away as if there's no tomorrow.
Taragathi Gadhi Daati, set amidst the heart of Rajahmundry, has been adapted in Telugu with utmost authenticity. The show that captures the spirit of everyday life in and around the Godavari region in Andhra Pradesh, revolves around Krishna a.k.a Kittu, a young intermediate student, whose parents Shankar and Gauri run a coaching centre. Despite his solid credentials as a student and being a Mathematics-enthusiast, Krishna isn't exactly motivated to study, only until an encounter with a new student in the coaching centre, Jasmine, turns his world topsy turvy.
The five-episode long show takes viewers through the tender romance unfolding between Krishna and Jasmine and throws light on the sweet little nothings, the chaos of teenage years. The male lead Harshith Reddy has already proved his worth as a performer with the rural comedy Mail earlier this year. His co-star Payal Radhakrishna has established herself as an actress across multiple Kannada, Tamil web shows, namely Bhinna and Singapenne. Nikhil Devadula, a well-known child artiste, part of hit films like Uyyala Jampala and Baahubali, is now geared up to wow audiences as a mature actor with Taragathi Gadhi Daati.
Taragathi Gadhi Daati is the second remake of a TVF original on aha after Commitmental, the regional adaptation of Permanent Roommates. Commitmental had starred Udbhav Raghunandan and Punarnavi Bhupalam in the lead roles. aha is on a high after its mind-bending sci-fi crime thriller Kudi Yedamaithe won the hearts of critics and audiences recently. Directed by Pawan Kumar, Kudi Yedamaithe surprised audiences with riveting twists and turns and featured fantastic performances by its lead cast comprising Amala Paul, Rahul Vijay and Ravi Prakash. Some of aha's popular releases in 2021 include Krack, Naandhi, 11th Hour, Zombie Reddy, Chaavu Kaburu Challaga and In the Name of God.
