Save Temples International Short Film Festival 2014
at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad - From August 22 to 24

With an objective to save the temples and protect the Sanathana Dharma, Global Hindu
Heritage Foundation and Save Temples (USA) have come together with an initiative. An
international short film festival will be held between 2014 August 22nd
and 24th
at Prasad Labs,
Hyderabad.

The theme for the fest is ‘Protection of Temples’ and ‘Preservation of Sanathana Dharma’.
This information was released in a press note by the organization’s founder Professor
Velagapudi Prakasarao and Cultural Brand Ambassador Dr. Ghazal Srinivas.

The SaveTemples Organization is striving to protect temples which are in dilapidated condition
across the world. They are also working towards protection of cows and Sanathana Dharma.
The film festival is an attempt to create awareness about these issues among the people.

The duration of the short film can be between 10-12 minutes duration. It can be made in any
language but English subtitles are mandatory. Entries can be sent to the below address before
July 24th, 2014. About 40 films will be shortlisted and they would be screened at Prasad Labs,
Hyderabad on 2014 August 22nd,23rd
& 24th
.

The best film will be given a cash prize of 1 lakh rupees along with a gold idol of Gomatha
(cow). The second best film gets Rs.75,000 rupees cash prize with Silver Gomatha, the third
best film will get Rs.50,000 rupees cash prize with bronze Gomatha. Five additional
consolation cash prizes of Rs.2,500 each will also be given away to selected filmmakers.
Special awards will be given for the categories of Best Director, Best Screenplay,
Cinematography, Editing and Creative Concepts.
