This Independence Day, Hindi Zee 5 is bringing audiences a story of courage, sacrifice and humanity with Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, premiering exclusively on August 14, 2026.
Starring Kangana Ranaut, Girija Oak and Smita Tambe, the film tells the inspiring story of the unsung heroes who showed extraordinary courage during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
Written and directed by Manoj Tapadia, the thriller-drama is produced by PEN Studios, Manikarnika Films and Paramhans Creations, in association with Eunoia Films LLP and Floating Rocks Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
A Story of Heroes Behind the Headlines
Set against the backdrop of the 26/11 attacks, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata focuses on the brave doctors, nurses, ward boys, cleaners, security staff and other workers at Cama and Albless Hospital.
As the hospital came under attack, these ordinary people found extraordinary courage. Putting the safety of their patients ahead of their own, they continued to serve and protect others despite the danger around them.
The film highlights their courage, compassion and sense of duty while remembering the people whose heroic actions did not receive the attention they deserved.

Speaking about the film, Kaveri Das, Business Head – Hindi Zee 5 and Chief Channel Officer – &TV, said that the film brings forward the courage of healthcare workers who placed their duty and humanity above fear during one of the darkest moments in Mumbai's history.
Kangana Ranaut, who is also a producer of the film, said that the story was important to tell because it honours the healthcare workers who stood between terror and humanity during the 26/11 attacks.
Writer-director Manoj Tapadia said the film looks at 26/11 from a lesser-known perspective and pays tribute to the doctors, nurses and hospital staff who continued caring for their patients despite the danger
