Dhanush–Rajkumar Periasamy's D55 Titled "OM: Chapter 1"; Grand Title Announcement Held
The much-awaited collaboration between National Award-winning actor Dhanush and director Rajkumar Periasamy has officially been titled "OM: Chapter 1." The title was unveiled at a grand launch event attended by the film's cast, crew, media, and industry guests.
Jointly produced by R Take Studios and Wunderbar Films, the film is one of the biggest-budget projects in Dhanush's career and is set for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16.
Speaking at the event, Sreyas of Wunderbar Films described OM: Chapter 1 as a vintage Dhanush mass entertainer and expressed confidence that the film would exceed audience expectations. He also thanked director Rajkumar Periasamy and the team for making the ambitious project possible.
Representing R Take Studios, Shraddha thanked the director and Dhanush for the opportunity, calling the film a special collaboration that will entertain audiences. Azmat also expressed gratitude for being part of such a prestigious project and said the team is committed to delivering their best.
Director Rajkumar Periasamy shared that the first schedule has been successfully completed and revealed that the film has been planned as "OM: Chapter 1," hinting that the title carries multiple layers of meaning beyond its spiritual significance. He added that the recently released title announcement video serves as an introduction to Dhanush's character rather than a regular title reveal, with teasers and character introductions set to follow in the coming months.
He also praised the film's cast and technical crew, including cinematographer Ezhilarasu, editor Kalaivanan, and music composer Sai Abhyankkar, for their dedication to the project.
Representatives from Divo Music and Warner Music Group India expressed their excitement about being associated with the film, describing it as one of the most ambitious projects in recent Tamil cinema and praising the powerful combination of Dhanush and Rajkumar Periasamy.
OM: Chapter 1 features an impressive ensemble cast with Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela as the female leads, while Malayalam superstar Mammootty plays a pivotal role. The film marks the first collaboration between Dhanush and Rajkumar Periasamy, whose previous blockbuster Amaran earned nationwide acclaim.
With music by rising sensation Sai Abhyankkar and production progressing at a brisk pace, OM: Chapter 1 has already become one of the most anticipated Tamil films in recent times.
The film is all set to hit theatres worldwide on October 16.
