Yash Says Toxic Is a Fresh and Bold Gangster Film
At CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas, Rocking Star Yash shared exciting details about his upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grownups. Speaking alongside Ramayana co-producer Namit Malhotra, Yash described the film as a unique take on the gangster genre.
Yash revealed that Toxic has been shot in English as well, aiming to reach a wider global audience. He explained that while the film may look like a typical action-packed gangster story on the surface, it goes much deeper. According to him, the film explores strong psychological themes and presents a dark character in a fresh and engaging way.
Talking about working with director Geetu Mohandas, Yash said the experience was exciting and praised her for bringing a new perspective to gangster films. He also added that the movie will be visually rich and leave a strong impact on audiences.
Yash also spoke about how Indian cinema is growing globally, highlighting the country’s cultural diversity and how pan-India films are connecting audiences across regions. He believes Toxic reflects this evolution by blending Indian storytelling with a global appeal.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by Monster Mind Creations and KVN Productions, Toxic stars Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria. The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026.
