Paramapada Sopanam is a commercial action-thriller featuring Ambati Arjun and Jennifer Emmanuel in the lead roles. The film is directed by debutant Naga Siva, who earlier worked with Puri Jagannadh. With music composed by Dev Jand, the movie aims to blend suspense, action, and a social message into a mainstream entertainer. It hit theatres on April 24.

Story

The story begins with the brutal murder of a Health Commissioner, which shocks the entire city. A police officer named Ashwaddhama takes up the case, but things quickly get complicated. Each victim somehow carries clues pointing to the next murder, making it a strange and puzzling investigation.

During the investigation, Arjuna game designer dealing with PTSDcomes into the picture. He is constantly living in fear, believing someone is trying to kill him. To protect him, officer Neha is assigned, but the killings don’t stop. As more victims fall, the case starts linking to government officials and a mysterious village with a dark past.

Who is behind these murders? Why is Arjun involved? And what connects all these events? These questions drive the rest of the film.

 Performances

Ambati Arjun does a solid job and fits the role really well. He handles both the emotional and action scenes with ease, especially standing out in the climax.

Jennifer Emmanuel plays a confident police officer and delivers a neat performance. Her role is strong and adds value to the story.

Actors like Ajay Ratnam and Pilla Prasad do well in their supporting roles. Meanwhile, Mehaboob Basha brings some relief with his comedy at the right moments.

Technical Aspects

Director Naga Siva shows good confidence for a first film. He manages to keep the story engaging, mixing suspense with commercial elements.

The first half builds curiosity with the investigation and twists, though it feels slightly slow in parts. The second half moves faster, with interesting reveals and a strong climax. The interval twist is one of the film’s highlights.

Music by Dev Jand works well and supports the mood of the film. The action scenes, especially the rain fight and climax sequences, are quite impressive considering the film’s scale.

Verdict

Paramapada Sopanam is a decent thriller that mixes suspense, action, and commercial elements effectively. While the beginning could have been tighter, the film picks up well and keeps you hooked later on.

With good performances and engaging twists, it works for both mass and regular audiences. If you enjoy suspense dramas with a commercial touch, this one is worth a watch.
