Mystic Secrets of ‘Agadha’

MS Raju’s Pan-India Mystical Thriller “Agadha” Set to Intrigue Audiences Across Five Languages

Veteran filmmaker MS Raju has long been a name synonymous with memorable cinema. Under his Sumanth Arts banner, he delivered several trendsetting films like Shatruvu, Devi, Manasantha Nuvve, Okkadu, Varsham, and Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. As a director too, he has carved a distinct path, with films like Dirty Hari and Malli Pelli reflecting his unique storytelling style.

Known for never repeating himself, MS Raju constantly strives to offer audiences something new. Staying true to that vision, he has been passionately working on his latest project, “Agadha,” for over a year.

The film’s promotions have kicked off in an unconventional and creative way. A recently released promotional video features two thieves breaking into MS Raju’s office, only to get distracted by posters of his iconic films, reminiscing about them. However, their curiosity quickly turns into fear when they encounter one particular poster — that of Agadha. The video ends on a suspenseful note, sparking intrigue around the film.

The poster itself adds to the mystery. It showcases a dark cave illuminated faintly by torches, where even the dim light feels eerie. At the center stands a massive idol with twelve hands, exuding a powerful and mystical aura. In front of it stands a young girl, facing away, dressed in an unusual costume that deepens the enigma.

With just this glimpse, Agadha has already begun to capture attention. The film is described as a mystical divine thriller and is being mounted on a grand scale under the Sri Adi Varaha Productions banner. It is produced by Kasi Visalakshi Balusu and directed by MS Raju himself.

The film has completed its shooting phase, which spanned 85 days across multiple sets and locations. Currently, it is in post-production. Notably, the film will feature around 45 minutes of VFX, highlighting its ambitious scale and visual richness.

Speaking about the project, MS Raju shared that Agadha will deliver a unique cinematic experience, and details about the cast will be revealed soon.

The film is being made as a Pan-India project in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
