S/O (Son Of) – A Powerful Screenplay-Centric Drama | Teaser Unveiled

The teaser of the Telugu film S/O (Son Of) was officially launched on Friday, creating a strong buzz for its intense subject and grounded storytelling. Addressing the gathering, senior actor Vinod Kumar emphasized that S/O is a screenplay-driven drama, steering away from formulaic commercial elements.

Backed by the Sai Simhadri Cinema banner, the film features Sai Simhadri in the lead and is written and directed by Bathala Sateesh. Vinod Kumar essays a pivotal role that anchors the film’s emotional core.

Director Bathala Sateesh called the film a significant comeback for Vinod Kumar, expressing confidence that audiences will remember this performance alongside the actor’s most iconic roles. He revealed that the narrative delves into a bold question—what drives a son to file a case against his own father—handled with emotional depth and realism. He also thanked Sai Simhadri for placing faith in the script and returning from the US to bring this story to life.

Sai Simhadri shared that S/O (Son Of) is a story close to his heart, inspired by real-life experiences with his father. Promising a compelling blend of emotion, drama, and truth, he described the film as one that every son should watch with his father. He also mentioned being a devoted fan of Chiranjeevi, expressing his wish to present the film to the megastar.

Vinod Kumar described S/O as a raw and realistic father–son drama told in a refreshingly new format. He lauded Sateesh’s narration, calling him a committed filmmaker and a fan of Puri Jagannadh. The actor also spoke about his upcoming projects, including a film with Gopichand directed by Sankalp Reddy, along with several others in the pipeline.
