Hombale Films Presents Veera Chandrahasa, Directed by Ravi Basrur, Releasing Worldwide on September 19th
After the massive success of Mahavatar Narasimha, which stormed the Indian box office and crossed ₹300 crores, Hombale Films is now presenting Veera Chandrahasa, slated for a grand worldwide release on September 19th.
In Telugu, the film is being brought to audiences by MV Radha Krishna under the banner of Kanchi Kamakshi Kolkata Kali Creations. Known for his good taste in content, Radha Krishna has earlier released films like Veda (starring Shivarajkumar) and Rakshasa (starring Prajwal Devaraj) in Telugu. He has now acquired the rights to Veera Chandrahasa and is confident that Telugu audiences will embrace the film.
Directed by celebrated music composer Ravi Basrur, who made a mark with blockbuster albums like KGF and Salaar, Veera Chandrahasa marks his debut as a director. The film features Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar in a key role alongside Shithil Shetty, Nagashree GS, Prasanna Shettigar Mandarthi, Uday Kadabal, Ravindra Devadiga, Nagaraj Servegar, Gunashree M Nayak, Sridhar Kasarkodu, Shwetha Arehole, and Prajwal Kinnal. It is produced by NS Rajkumar under the prestigious Omkar Movies banner, with Hombale Films presenting it.
The movie is inspired by the Ashwamedhika Parva of the Mahabharata and narrates the inspiring journey of an orphan boy who grows into the valiant and noble warrior Veera Chandrahasa. For the first time in Indian cinema, Yakshagana, the traditional art form, is showcased on the big screen with grandeur, promising a unique cinematic experience.
The film has already been declared a blockbuster in Kannada, and expectations are high for its Telugu release. The trailer, unveiled recently by actor Vishwak Sen, has received an excellent response.
Speaking about the film, producer MV Radha Krishna said:
“Veera Chandrahasa has already garnered strong word-of-mouth and impressive collections in Kannada. I am thrilled to bring this powerful story to Telugu audiences. Our viewers have always supported good content, and I believe they will shower the same love on this film too. Ravi Basrur, who won hearts with his music, has now proved himself as a director. This film, much like Mahavatar Narasimha, will surely appeal to everyone.”
Director and music composer Ravi Basrur added:
“As a director, this project is very close to my heart. Kannada audiences embraced it wholeheartedly, and I’m confident Telugu audiences will also connect with it. Working with Shivarajkumar sir and our dedicated cast was a blessing. Our producers ensured no compromises were made in the making, and I’m glad Radha Krishna garu is giving our film a grand release in Telugu.”
