With this thought, our America Ammayi (Samantha) has emplaned to set out on a mission to re-unite her mother with her family who has disowned Kalyani (mother) when she decided to get married to an American.
The story introduces Samantha as an American born but her family values deeply rooted into the Indian System. The maternal side disowns her family as her mother gets married to an American without them agreeing. As years pass by, Samantha’s mother – Kalyani falls ill and wishes to re-unite with her family before she sees death approaching.
Samantha takes this as a challenge and embarks upon a journey to India with an aim to bring them together. The story unfolds on how Samantha enters her grand parents’ house while she tries to convince them to accept Kalyani back into the family. During her stay, she falls in love with Surya who is her maternal uncle’s son.
America Ammayi is a complete family entertainer with Family Drama and Romantic Comedy Genre storyline. Scenes have been shot in exotic locations abroad with picturesque backdrops. This is one of the biggest properties of Zee Telugu till date.
