Telangana Osmania University students’ Joint action committee has demanded the state government to remove the name of Nayak in the forth coming film of hero Ramacharan. In a statement Karate Raju Nayak, Nehru Nayak, Shanker Nayak, said that the title ‘Nayak’ is insulting the Scheduled tribes and the government has to take immediate action to put a ban on this title the same happend for power star pawankalyan movie Komaram Puli
సంక్రాంతి పండుగ సందర్భంగా ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు రావడానికి ముస్తాబవుతోన్న 'నాయక్'ను ఇప్పుడు ఒక్కసారిగా వివాదం చుట్టుముట్టింది. 'నాయక్' అనే ఈ సినిమా పేరును మార్చాలంటూ గిరిజన విద్యార్ధి సంఘాలు డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నాయి. హైదరాబాద్ - ఉస్మానియా యూనివర్సిటీలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన విలేకరుల సమావేశంలో గిరిజన విద్యార్ధి సంఘాల నాయకులు మాట్లాడారు. 
     'నాయక్' అనే పదం గిరిజన తెగకి చెందిన లంబాడీలకు రాజ్యాంగం కల్పించిన హక్కు అనీ, అది తమ ఆత్మ గౌరవానికి సంబంధించినదని వాళ్లు చెప్పారు. అలాంటి పదాన్ని సినిమాకు వాడటం తమకి అవమానమనీ, అందుకు తాము అంగీకరించమని అన్నారు. వెంటనే ఈ సినిమా టైటిల్ ను మార్చుకోవాలనీ, లేదంటే సినిమా విడుదలను అడ్డుకుంటామని హెచ్చరించారు. గతంలో 'కొమరం పులి' సినిమా విషయంలోనూ ఇలాంటి వివాదం తలెత్తినప్పుడు, 'కొమరం' పేరును తొలగించి 'పులి' పేరుతో ఆ సినిమాను విడుదల చేశారు. మరి, 'నాయక్' విషయంలో ఏం జరుగుతుందనేది వేచి చూడాలి.
