Kommuri Pratap Reddy Launches Sai Pragati Films with ‘Vedavyas’

Every new production house entering the film industry pays special attention to creating a unique identity for its banner. From designing an artistic logo and title to seeking divine blessings before the official announcement, producers often follow tradition by performing special rituals and offering prayers.

In this context, the banner launch of the film Vedavyas, directed by veteran filmmaker S.V. Krishna Reddy and presented by K. Achchi Reddy, was held in a traditional and spiritual manner at the Sai Baba Temple in Film Nagar. The film is being produced by newcomer Kommuri Pratap Reddy, a businessman, former MLA, and head of KPR IT institutions.

The production house has been named Sai Pragati Films. Kommuri Pratap Reddy, along with director S.V. Krishna Reddy and presenter Achchi Reddy, attended the ceremony in traditional attire and performed special pooja rituals before unveiling the banner. Photos of the trio, dressed in traditional dhoti attire at the temple, have gone viral on social Media .

Vedavyas is said to be a family-oriented film that blends Hindu spiritual values with a scientific perspective. The film’s production is currently in its final stages.

The movie introduces Pidugu Vishwanath as the lead actor. It also marks the Telugu debut of Korean actress Joon Hyunji and Mongolian actor Sharan Bold. The film features a strong ensemble cast including Sai Kumar, Suman, Babu Mohan, Shivaji Raja, Ali, Uttej, Raghu Babu, Ajay Ghosh, IMAX Venkat, Vidyullekha, and Rajeshwari Nair in key roles.

S.V. Krishna Reddy is handling multiple departments for the film, including story, screenplay, dialogues, music, and direction. Lyrics are by Bhuvanachandra and Venigalla Rambabu. Cinematography is by Sharath, choreography by Suchitra, editing by Chota K. Prasad, and production design by Brahma Kadali. Phani Srinivasa Reddy Medapati is the executive producer.

The film is nearing completion of post-production and is gearing up for release. It is presented by K. Achchi Reddy and produced by Kommuri Pratap Reddy.
