With Shambhala gearing up for a grand release on December 25, expectations around the film are steadily rising. Starring Aadi Saikumar in the lead, the movie has created strong buzz with its teasers, trailers, posters, and songs. On the occasion of his birthday, December 23, Aadi interacted with the media and spoke openly about the film, his experience, and future plans. Here’s a simple and fresh recap of what he shared.
Aadi expressed strong confidence in Shambhala, saying the film has shaped up very well and that audiences will enjoy it. He believes the response to the promotional content clearly shows the growing excitement.
Talking about the December 25 competition, Aadi said Christmas is a great season for films. He mentioned his close bond with Srikanth garu’s family and wished success to Roshan’s film Champion as well.
Aadi said the buzz began right from the first still. He was happy that the teaser and trailers, launched by Dulquer Salmaan, Prabhas, and Nani, received an excellent response. According to him, the team is confident about achieving a solid success.
He highlighted that action sequences play a major role in Shambhala. Raj Kumar Master worked closely with director Ugandhar to choreograph the action scenes, and the climax will be a major highlight. Since the story is set in the 1980s, special care was taken with costumes and looks.
Speaking about VFX, Aadi clarified that the film doesn’t rely heavily on it. Whatever VFX is used has been done carefully and effectively. He especially praised music director Sricharan Pakala, saying the background score adds immense strength to the film and that each character has a powerful theme.
Shambhala doesn’t feature many songs, as the genre doesn’t demand them. However, Aadi said the background music will be one of the most talked-about aspects after the release.
On the mythological significance of the title Shambhala, Aadi said it holds an important place in mythology, though no one knows if it truly exists. He added that the name gained more attention after the release of Kalki.
Aadi revealed that he suffered a minor injury during a fire sequence, stating that such incidents are common during action-heavy shoots.
Sharing his thoughts on theatres versus OTT, Aadi said audiences today seek a strong cinematic experience. Films like Shambhala are meant to be watched on the big screen. He praised the producers for making the film on a grand scale and for strong promotions.
Reacting to his mother’s viral dialogue at the event, Aadi said he shares a close bond with her and was surprised to see that side of her on stage.
He praised director Ugandhar for his passion and dedication, saying the director presented the story exactly as he envisioned and has a bright future.
Aadi thanked the producers for their full support, mentioning that they invested beyond expectations and ensured quality at every stage. He also revealed that the team is planning a Hindi version, which will be promoted after positive response from the Telugu release.
Despite heavy competition on December 25, Aadi said they didn’t consider changing the release date, as it is one of the best slots. He added that the premieres are getting a good response and positive talk will help the film from day one.
Talking about challenges, Aadi said most of the shooting happened at night in extreme cold, especially the climax, but the team worked with complete dedication.
He said all characters in Shambhala are well written, especially Archana’s role, which stays with his character throughout the film and will impress audiences.
On the possibility of a sequel, Aadi smiled and said Part 2 will happen if the audience makes Shambhala a hit.
Finally, he spoke about his upcoming project Sub Inspector Ugandhar for ETV Win, saying the film has turned out very well and will be released soon.
