Patang Trailer Launched in Hyderabad; Deva Katta Calls It a Sure Crowd-Pleaser
The trailer of the upcoming sports comedy Patang was launched at a grand event in Hyderabad by acclaimed director Deva Katta. The film is gearing up for a theatrical release on December 25, 2025, and has already created a positive buzz with its teaser, hit songs, and strong promotional content.
Impressed by the film’s final output, noted producer Suresh Babu is presenting Patang under the Suresh Productions banner. The film stars Preethi Pagadala, Vamssi Pujit, and Pranav Kaushik in lead roles, with prominent performances by Anu Hassan, S.P. Charan, Vadlamani Srinivas, Vishnu Oi, and Sivanarayana. The film also features special cameo appearances by Gautham Vasudev Menon, SS Kanchi, and Naveen.
Directed by Praneeth Prattipati, Patang is produced jointly by Vijay Shekhar, Sampath Maka, Suresh Kothinti, and Naani Bandreddi, in association with Ramya Vemulapati, under the banners Cinematic Elements, Rishaan Cinemas, and Monsoon Tales.
Speaking at the launch, Deva Katta praised the trailer, saying it was energetic and highly entertaining. He said the film has all the right elements to appeal to today’s youth, including friendship, love, music, and strong performances. He expressed confidence that Patang has the potential to become a big hit at the box office and wished the entire team great success.
Co-producer Ramya Vemulapati shared that the film brings back nostalgic memories of childhood kite-flying competitions and offers audiences a fresh and realistic cinematic experience.
Actor Vamshi Poojith said the trailer left him thrilled, especially the VFX-heavy kite competition sequences. He revealed that the final 30 minutes of the film would be a major highlight. Playing a Hyderabadi mass character named “Whisky,” he expressed confidence that audiences would love his role. He also mentioned that the film’s release is special to him as it coincides with his birthday.
Lead actor Pranav Kaushik called Patang a dream debut and thanked the producers for believing in him. He said the film has been made on a grand scale, comparable to big-budget movies, and hoped the December 25 release would mark a proud moment for his family.
Veteran actor Vadlamani Srinivas, who is celebrating his 100th film with Patang, appreciated the youthful energy of the team and praised producer Nani Bandreddy’s dedication. He expressed hope that the film would grow from a small beginning into a massive success.
The launch event was attended by several industry figures, including Rahul Mopidevi, CEO Adinarayana, Nani Bandreddy, producer Sampath Maka, and others.
