Santhana Prapthirasthu Movie Review

Santhana Prapthirasthu is a modern relationship drama directed by Sanjeev Reddy and backed by producers Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Nirvi Hariprasad Reddy. With Vikranth and Chandini Chowdary leading the cast, the film brings together a lively supporting team including Vennela Kishore, Tharun Bhascker, Abhinav Gomatam, and Muralidhar Goud. Cinematographer Mahireddy Pandugula and composer Sunil Kashyap lend the film a warm, youthful flavor as it explores an uncommon subject with sensitivity and humor.

Story

Chaitanya (Vikranth) is a soft-spoken software engineer from Hyderabad who prefers staying within his comfort zone. Social situationsespecially those involving womentend to overwhelm him. His life, however, begins to shift when he meets Kalyani (Chandini Chowdary), whose easygoing nature gradually breaks down his barriers. Their friendship matures into love, and with both families’ blessings, they get married.

Just when life seems to be falling into place, the couple faces an unexpected setback: Chaitanya discovers that he has a low sperm count. The emotional struggle that follows, along with the societal pressure and misunderstandings they encounter, forms the crux of the narrative.

Performances

Vikranth offers one of his most convincing performances to date. He brings a believable awkwardness to Chaitanya, and his comic timingespecially in scenes featuring Muralidhar Goudfeels unforced. His portrayal particularly shines when Chaitanya tries to cover up his insecurities.

Chandini Chowdary delivers a grounded, mature performance as Kalyani. She brings calm strength to the character and becomes the emotional backbone of the film. Her presence adds depth even to the lighter moments.

Abhinav Gomatam energizes the proceedings with his trademark wit, while Muralidhar Goud balances humor and emotion remarkably well.

Though Vennela Kishore and Tharun Bhascker appear only briefly, their scenes add a burst of fun.

The rest of the supporting teamHarshavardhan, Tagubothu Ramesh, Bindu Chandramouli, and otherscontribute efficiently to the flow of the story.

Technical Aspects

The film sports neat production values. Mahireddy Pandugula’s pleasant visuals match the film’s simple, slice-of-life mood. Sunil Kashyap’s music blends smoothly with both the breezy and serious portions, and the background score supports the emotions without stealing attention.

Saikrishna Ganala’s editing keeps the narrative largely engaging, though the early stretch takes a bit of time to settle.

Shivakumar Matcha’s production design and the thoughtfully chosen costumes help the film stay rooted in a familiar, everyday world.

Director Sanjeev Reddy, along with writer Sheikh Dawood J handles the sensitive theme without heaviness. Their decision to approach the subject through humor gives the film an accessible, easygoing tone, even though a slightly more intense emotional arc could have added additional weight.

Verdict

Santhana Prapthirasthu is a gentle, feel-good film that touches on a rarely explored subject. Its honest performances, light humor, and the natural charm between Vikranth and Chandini Chowdary make it an easy watch. The start is a bit slow and some emotions could have been deeper, but overall, the movie delivers a warm, meaningful experience.
