A historical action drama is on the way! Draupathi 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2020 film Draupathi, is currently in production and promises an epic story of valor and history. Actor Richard Rishi returns in the lead role, with Rakshana Indusudan starring as the female lead.
Directed by Mohan G., the film is set in the 14th century and explores the reign of the Hoysala emperor Veera Vallalar III and the Kadavarayas of Sendhamangalam. The narrative unfolds against the backdrop of the Mughal invasion of Tamil Nadu. The filmmakers have stated that the story will connect to the first film, making this a true continuation of the Draupathi franchise.
The first look poster was recently revealed, building excitement for its release in both Tamil and Telugu. The film boasts a talented supporting cast, including Natti Natraj, Y. G. Mahendran, and Nadodigal Barani.
