 ZEE5 Launches First Look of “Mothevari Love Story” – A Heartfelt Telugu Original Premiering August 8

ZEE5, India’s leading OTT platform known for its culturally rich and rooted stories, is all set to bring audiences a brand-new Telugu original series titled Mothevari Love Story. Set in the heart of Telangana, the series blends humor, emotions, and a touch of nostalgia, and is gearing up for its grand premiere on August 8, exclusively on ZEE5.

Directed by Shiva Krishna Burra, the series stars popular content creator Anil Geela and Varshini Reddy Junnuthula in the lead roles. Backed by Village Show Movies and Madhura Entertainment, the seven-episode series promises to showcase the soul of rural Telangana with a story that revolves around a wedding and the chaos that follows after an old family secret comes to light.

Anil Geela, known for his viral rural-themed content on YouTube, not only headlines the show but also handled the editing. With music by Charan Arjun and cinematography by Sreekanth Arupula, Mothevari Love Story is a complete homegrown entertainer, capturing the spirit, dialect, and charm of Telangana villages.

The first look of the series was unveiled at a grand launch event in Hyderabad by actor Anand Deverakonda, who praised the team’s sincerity and emotional connection with the audience. He shared how My Village Show reminded him of home when he lived in the US and called the series a “big-hearted project.”

Speaking at the event, Anil Geela expressed his gratitude to ZEE5 for believing in their team and giving them a platform. He thanked Madhura Sreedhar Reddy for backing the project and called it a dream come true to make the leap from YouTube to mainstream OTT. He said, “We put our hearts into this series. We had no luxuries, just passion and teamwork. I hope it connects with the audience.”

Producer Madhura Sreedhar said, “From the very beginning, I saw hero material in Anil. This story felt authentic and refreshing, and I knew it was the right time to support this team. Telangana deserves more stories like this.”

Co-producer Srikanth Sriram shared how they always dreamt of making something bigger than short-form content. “This is our journey from cell phones to cinema lenses. ZEE5 gave us wings.”
