YRF’s Clever Plan: Hrithik and NTR to Avoid Each Other During War 2 Promotions!
According to industry sources, the makers have chalked out a plan where Hrithik and NTR will promote the movie separately. They won’t share the stage, appear in the same videos, or be seen together in any event before the release. YRF wants audiences to witness their intense rivalry first on the big screen, making the big fight feel even more electrifying when they finally clash.
A trade insider explains, “This is a historic moment in Indian cinema two superstars like Hrithik and NTR facing off. YRF wants to preserve the surprise and tension of their on-screen conflict, so people get the full impact when they see them together in theaters. They believe that keeping them apart in real life will enhance the drama.”
YRF has a track record of unique promotional strategies in its Spy Universe. For example, during War, Hrithik and Tiger Shroff were first seen together only after the movie released. During Pathaan promotions, Shah Rukh Khan didn’t do any pre-release interviews but released short videos teasing the film, which kept the buzz alive until it became an all-time blockbuster. And with Tiger Zinda Hai, the campaign surprised audiences by highlighting how the Tiger franchise kick-started the entire Spy Universe.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is shaping up to be 2025’s biggest release. The film, produced by Aditya Chopra, will hit theaters worldwide in IMAX on August 14, 2025. Kiara Advani will also join the YRF Spy Universe in what is described as her most intense role yet.
