Performances
The performances in Virgin Boys are solid across the board. Geethanand brings a relaxed charm to the lead role, effortlessly balancing fun and emotion. Ronith and Srihan, despite being relatively new, surprise with their confident and natural portrayals no rookie nerves in sight.Mitra Sharma impresses as the dignified female lead, blending grace with substance. She isn’t just there for the glamour she delivers a grounded and impactful performance. Supporting actresses Jennifer Immanuel, Anshula Dhawan, and Shweta Tiwari also fit well into their roles, adding depth where needed.
Technical Aspects
The film delivers decent production quality, with a vibrant setup that fits the youthful vibe it aims for. The visuals are appealing, and the soundtrack is fairly enjoyable a couple of songs leave a lasting impression. Cinematography is neat, though the editing could’ve been more crisp, as a few scenes drag without adding much value.
Director Dayanand Gaddam sets out to craft a youthful entertainer with a meaningful message for this generation. While the film has its share of fun moments and a sweet emotional touch towards the end, the storytelling feels a bit half-baked. The narrative wavers, lacking the grip and energy it needed. With a tighter script and more engaging scenes, this could’ve hit much harder.
Verdict
Virgin Boys has a few engaging moments, with Sri Srihan bringing some fun to the mix. While the love message partly works, the weak story and narration hold it back. It may appeal to some youth but doesn’t leave a lasting mark.
