Sootravaakyam Redefines the Role of Police in Society

Sootravaakyam A Powerful Malayalam Film That Redefines Police Stations

What if every police station in our country could also be a place of learning? That’s the heart-touching idea behind the Malayalam film Sootravaakyam.

The film is all set to release worldwide in Malayalam on July 11 through Zineverse Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd. The Telugu version of the film will follow later this month under the same title.

Malayalam cinema has always been known for its strong, content-rich stories and Sootravaakyam is no exception. It asks a thought-provoking question:

Why should only criminals and victims go to police stations? Why can’t these spaces be used to guide and educate children during the officers' free time?
Inspired by real events during the COVID pandemic where police in Kerala took up youth counseling this film blends an inspiring message with engaging storytelling.
Produced by Lavanya Devi Kandregula and Srikanth Kandregula of Cinema Bandi fame, and directed by Ujiyan Jass Chirammal, Sootravaakyam is a meaningful debut under the Cinema Bandi Productions banner.

The film stars Shine Tom Chacko, Vinci Aloysius, Deepak Parambol, Meenakshi Madhavi, Divya M. Nair, and Srikanth Kandregula in a key role.

With screenplay by Rejin S. Babu, cinematography by Sriram Chandrasekharan, music by Jean P. Johnson, and editing by Nithin K.T.R, the film promises a fresh and emotional experience for audiences.

Sootravaakyam is also being released in 14 countries outside India, making it a truly global release.

Get ready to experience a new kind of cinema where the police become mentors, and fear turns into hope
