Pedro Pascal Reveals He Had to Dial Back His 1960s Accent for Fantastic Four: First Steps

Pedro Pascal is all geared up to make his Marvel debut as Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The much-awaited film, which marks the beginning of Phase 6 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is set to release in Indian theatres on July 25 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

During the film’s global promotions, Pedro shared a fun behind-the-scenes moment. Speaking to Vanity Fair, he revealed that he got a bit too carried away with his 1960s-style accent. “I gave it my all and leaned into that old-school mid-Atlantic tone,” he said. “But the team kept reeling me in. They had a dialect coach, and at one point, they pulled me aside and said, ‘Can you talk a little more like yourself

Pedro explained that he was so immersed in the period feel of the movie, it was tough to pull back. “I loved stepping into that era  it felt fresh and different from anything we've seen in the MCU.”

Directed by Matt Shakman, the star-studded cast also includes Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, Ralph Ineson as Galactus, and Julia Garner as Silver Surfer.
