Murali Mohan Celebrates Birthday With a Noble Film – Dokka Seethamma
Veteran actor Murali Mohan and actress Amani are set to portray lead roles in the upcoming film Andhrula Annapurna Dokka Seethamma. Produced by Valluri Rambabu and Matta Srinivas under the Usha Rani Movies banner, the film is directed by T.V. Ravi Narayan. With cinematography by Rahul Srivatsav and music composed by Karthik Kodakandla, the project aims to narrate the inspiring story of a selfless woman who devoted her life to feeding the hungry.
To mark Murali Mohan’s birthday, the team released a special poster and a brief glimpse from the film. Speaking on the occasion, the actor expressed his gratitude and shared his connection with the film’s theme.
I usually celebrate my birthday at ashrams with differently abled people or children without families. This year, I planned to visit a home for the visually challenged. But when the Dokka Seethamma team requested my presence, I happily agreed. I truly appreciate the producers for making this day special, said Murali Mohan.
He also recalled his admiration for the real-life Dokka Seethamma. “She once declined an invitation to be felicitated in London, saying, ‘If I leave, who will feed the hungry here?’ That shows how grounded and compassionate she was. It’s a great honour for me to play a part in telling her story,” he added.
Director T.V. Ravi Narayan, who has had a long association with Murali Mohan, said, “He was my first hero, and from the beginning of this journey, he has been my biggest support. This film wouldn’t have happened without him.”
Composer Karthik Kodakandla reflected on the responsibility of scoring for such a meaningful subject. “This film is about Dharma, and when I think of Dharma, I think of Murali Mohan Garu. I’m proud to be part of this project.”
Several film personalities also conveyed their wishes:
Producer Rama Satyanarayana praised the film for highlighting meaningful stories instead of sticking to commercial formulas.
Bekkem Venugopal called Murali Mohan a guiding light in his career.
Relangi Narasimha Rao reminisced about learning of Dokka Seethamma during school and expressed his happiness to see her story coming to life on screen.
Lion Sai Venkat noted that Murali Mohan’s wish for the well-being of all is what keeps him active and respected.
