Yash and ‘Mad Max’ Stunt Legend Guy Norris Kick Off High-Octane Action for Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana – First Look Revealed

The epic canvas of Indian mythology is getting a grand cinematic makeover, as Ramayanahelmed by acclaimed director Nitesh Tiwarigears up to be one of India’s most ambitious films to date. At the heart of this visual extravaganza is Rocking Star Yash, who steps into the role of Ravana, and he's doing it with a bangteaming up with none other than Hollywood action maestro Guy Norris.

Best known for choreographing mind-blowing sequences in Mad Max: Fury Road and The Suicide Squad, Norris is now in India, bringing his signature style to the world of Ramayana. The action sequences, designed on an unprecedented scale, are being shot with Yash leading the chargephysically and creatively. The actor-producer, who has also co-produced the film under his banner Monster Mind Creations, is pulling out all the stops to ensure this mythological saga breaks new ground.

Recent glimpses from the shoot show Yash in intense battle gearshredded, fierce, and utterly transformed. His physical prep and raw screen presence hint at a new-age Ravana, reimagined with power, complexity, and cinematic flair. With 60–70 days earmarked for his shoot in Ramayana Part 1, Yash is expected to be a cornerstone of the film’s massive action-driven narrative.

Backed by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios, Ramayana is more than a retellingit’s a redefinition of scale, storytelling, and spectacle in Indian cinema. The film brings together state-of-the-art VFX, sprawling sets, and an ensemble cast that includes Ranbir Kapoor, promising a never-before-seen mythological epic designed for a global audience.

Yash, deeply involved in the film from the development stage, continues to shape the creative vision alongside the team. With Guy Norris steering the action and Yash leading both in front of and behind the camera, Ramayana is shaping up to be a cinematic event like no other.

Ramayana Part 1 is slated to hit theatres on Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 in Diwali 2027.
