Rag Mayur Rides High on Success with Back-to-Back Projects in Telugu Cinema

Telugu actor Rag Mayur is currently enjoying a remarkable phase in his career, emerging as one of the most promising talents in the industry. After the blockbuster success of Sivarapalli, Rag Mayur has become a sought-after name, impressing both audiences and filmmakers alike.

The actor recently made waves with his impactful special appearance in Subham, a film backed by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and directed by Praveen Kandregula. His character, Maridesh Babu, has been receiving praise for its quirky charm and humorous undertones. “It felt like an extension of what I did in Cinema Bandi, but with a fresh spin,” says Rag Mayur. “I’m extremely grateful to Samantha garu and Praveen garu for this opportunity. The love for the film and my role has been overwhelming.”

Riding on this momentum, Rag Mayur’s next lead role is in Paradha, Praveen Kandregula’s third directorial venture. Starring opposite Anupama Parameswaran, Mayur describes it as a full-fledged role with a socially relevant storyline. “Paradha explores new themes with emotional depth and a unique cinematic treatment. It’s going to be something the audience hasn't seen before,” he shares.

Further expanding his repertoire, Rag Mayur is also shooting for a buddy comedy produced by GA2 Pictures, promising a fun-filled entertainer with strong friendships and hilarious moments. Meanwhile, another exciting project, Garividi Lakshmi, under the banner of People Media Factory, is progressing at a fast pace. The film is a biographical drama based on the life of the legendary Burra Katha artist Garividi Lakshmi from North Andhra Pradesh a story that is both culturally rooted and emotionally powerful.
