Vijay Deverakonda Launches ‘Hometown’ Trailer; Streaming on aha from April 4
Hyderabad –Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda launched the muchawaited trailer of Hometown, an upcoming original web series on aha, set to premiere on April 4, 2025.
Directed by Srikanth Reddy Palle, Hometown is an emotional journey that captures the essence of middleclass life, the bond between parents and children, and the aspirations of a family striving for a better future. Featuring Rajeev Kanakala, Jhansi, Prajwal Yadma, Annie, Sairam, Anirudh, and Sravya, the series promises a nostalgic and heartfelt experience.
The story follows Srikanth and his family as they navigate life in their hometown, a place filled with memories, friendships, and dreams. Rajeev Kanakala plays Prasad, a dedicated father who runs Jyoti Photo Studio and dreams of sending his son abroad for higher studies. However, Srikanth, passionate about filmmaking, has different aspirations. As the family struggles with choices, emotions run deep Prasad works hard to secure his son’s future, while his wife, played by Jhansi, remains hesitant about the idea of sending him away.
Set in the 2000s, Hometown beautifully portrays life’s defining moments first love, childhood friendships, and the bittersweet experience of growing up. With a strong emotional core and relatable storytelling, it resonates with anyone who has left home chasing dreams, only to realize the warmth of where they came from.
Produced by Naveen Medaram and Rajashekhar Medaram, the series boasts a talented technical team, including cinematographer Devdeep Gandhi Kundu, music director Suresh Bobbili, and costume designer Sreedevi Tetali.
Vijay Deverakonda, currently busy shooting for Kingdom, took time to launch the trailer and shared his admiration for the series.
