1. Your debut film Hang Up is releasing soon. How does it feel?
I'm so excited for the release! The team have worked so hard and it's such a great achievement for everyone.
2. Any memorable experience you'd like to share?
Oh there are so many! We did a lot of night shoots so we had a lot of fun midnight pizza sessions. I also loved leaving the set daily as the sun rose in the morning.
3. The audio release is on Feb 10. What are your thoughts on the music and score?
I absolutely LOVE the music. The background score and sound effects are really what make the film for me. I'm sure you've seen the teaser and have seen how the music really sets the tone of the entire film. My favourite song is "I miss you".
4. What are your future plans. Are you going to continue doing Telugu cinema
Well I'm open to good and challenging projects in any language. I have a thing for picking up new languages quite quickly so I don't see the language as a barrier. I would love to do more Telugu cinema.
5. You have a career in medicine. What are your plans for films?
I have loved films from a very young age. I actually learnt Hindi from watching Bollywood films and grew up singing and dancing along to all the songs so films have played a massive role in my life. I'd love to give acting my best shot and I'm actually auditioning for Hindi films with some top directors as well.
6. What are your other interests?
Dance and music are my greatest passions. I've been dancing since the age of two and I initially started off with Ballet, Tap and Modern but then added Bharatnatyam and Kathak to my repertoire as a teenager. I've embraced Odissi as my strongest style. I was awarded the title of "top ten odissi talents" at Odissi International 2012. Given my extensive background in dance, I've been performing for a long time and I spend a lot of my spare time performing both nationally and internationally. I love doing something that offers creativity, expression, and is a challenge both physically and mentally. Musically speaking, I play the piano, flute and sing and so I've been a member of an orchestra or a choir or a band at every stage of my life. It sounds like a lot, but it means that there's never a dull moment and I have the opportunity of meeting interesting and creative people all the time!
7. What are your expectations from Hang Up?
I've worked hard on this film and I really hope people like it. I'm just enjoying the journey and hope that there are many more good projects on their way.
8. Are you nervous?
I'm obviously a little nervous. We've all worked hard on Hang up and just hope that people can see that and enjoy it as much as we've enjoyed making it. Wish me good luck!
