Budding Auckland filmmaker director/Producer Sreeman Myadam is set to embark on his second venture in New Zealand – Sreeman is basically from from Hyderabad. Sreeman, who has been in New Zealand for the past five and has worked with some big names in India’s movie industry, made his first short film (“PR”) more than two years ago. Originally from Hyderabad, India, Sreeman worked as assistant to director Nagesh Kukunoor of Hyderabad Blues and with Posani Krishna Murali as assistant director. Now, under the MYADAM CINEMAS (NZ) banner, Sreeman Myadam doing his 1st production English film "THE DARK HUMOUR" in Auckland. About the director Santosh Tukkapuram, Auckland Filmmaker, he is also originally from Hyderabad, India. Santosh is directing his first international short film “The Dark Humour”. Santosh directed more than 30 Commercials, Corporate films & Documentaries in India. Santosh did his film study from Zee institute, Hyderabad. “The Dark Humour” is being produced by Sreeman Myadam on MYADAM CINEMAS (NZ) and directed by Santosh Tukkapuram. Sufia Ali is production Designer, Joey De Guzman is DOP. The film is about a jovial and free-spirited girl who goes overboard with her pranks, and the results are not pleasant. As Director Santosh Tukkapuram explains: “Humour is good if it is in the limits, but when humour crosses the limits, it shows its dark side.” Myadam Cinemas has already secured the main cast for the movie. Male lead is played by Aucklander Aditya Duggaraju and female lead is Isabella Debbage. Sreeman & Santosh are best buddies back from India. They are enthused by the fact that New Zealand is home to one of Hollywood’s best directors, Sir Peter Jackson, and that several top movies have been made here by locals, with a local cast. MYADAM CINEMAS (NZ) producer Sreeman Myadam said soon they are planning for a Multilingual film to he shot in INDIA & NZ.
