ZEE5 TO PREMIERE 'MEKA SURI 2' FROM NOVEMBER 27

Hyderabad, 25th November 2020: ZEE5, besides offering 100+ Originals across genres and languages, has been presenting engrossing content. 'Meka Suri', the raw and rustic web series, premiered on July 31 on the platform. Thanks to its realistic content, the Telugu-language original movie impressed the audience. In the past, 'GOD' ('Gods Of Dharmapuri') on the platform belonged to a similar genre. 'Auto Shankar' in Tamil, too, opened to much applause. ZEE5 continues to be lauded for offering content that suits the tastes of the audience across regions. From pakka Telugu originals, direct-to-streamer movies, and Originals, its range of content has been phenomenal.
And now, the second season of 'Meka Suri', titled 'Meka Suri 2', is gearing up to be streamed on ZEE5 from November 27. It is produced by Simba Entertainment of Karthik Kancherla, who was the North India distributor of Rajinikanth-Aishwarya Rai's 'Robot' and was also associated with Shankar's 'Nanban'. 'Meka Suri' is his OTT debut. The soon-to-be-streamed web series stars Sumaya and Abhinay as the lead pair. The trailer of 'Meka Suri 2', released recently, has been received well.
Trinadh Velisala, who worked as an associate director for 'Mosagallaki Mosagadu' and 'Okka Kshanam' and as an assistant writer for 'Brother Of Bommali', is its director. Since the first part was successful and he got critical acclaim, expectations from the second part are high. Prajwal Krish, who had worked on 'Saroja' (Kannada) in the past, has composed the music.
Coming to the premise of the original movie, Suri, who measures 6'3'' ft, is a skilled butcher. He is so popular in the village for the skill that everyone calls him 'Meka' Suri. Rani, the most beautiful girl in the village, and Soori fall in love with each other and get married. Men of all ages have a crush on Rani. One day, she gets murdered. Who is behind the crime and how does Soori avenge the murder of his beloved wife? That's what you will have to find out on ZEE5.
