Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is planning to rename Rajahmundry as Rajamahendravaram which is the ancient name of that place Britishers has changed that city name as Rajahmundry for their colloquial usage.
Ncb announced this news in Godavari Maha Pushkaralu closing ceremony and Ap Government is planning to make Rajahmundry as cultural and touristic hub .he named this project as Akanda godavari Project he also announced 100 crs budget for First phase works .
They are planning for convention and exhibition centers in 50 acres of Land beside Beside Rajahmundry Central Jail.
