“THE THICKSHAKE FACTORY” - HYDERABAD BASED QSR STARTUP IN EXPANSION MODE, TO OPEN 40 STORES!


Hyderabad: 17th April 2015: The ThickShake Factory, the Hyderabad based F&B QSR startup and India’s 1st Premium ThickShake Brand had a grand gala launch on the occasion of opening of its store in P.G Road, Sindhi colony in Hyderabad today studded with celebrities. This unique concept of exclusive specialty retailing of milkshakes was started back in Dec 2013 by brothers M. Yeshwanth Nag and M. Ashwin Ananth Nag,both of whom are MBA’s from top Business Schools –XIMB and GIM respectively. Their stores have been a roaring success. Their vision is to create a QSR chain serving the best milkshakes across India.

Yeshwanth, the founder said “We are changing the definition of a ‘milkshake’ in India. The ThickShake Factory does speciality retailing in milkshakes and is the 1st mover in this category in India. We sell only beverages and currently have outlets in Kukatpally (Manjeera Mall), Jubilee Hills (Syala drivein) & now in P.G.Road. Seeing great demand & appreciation from our beloved customers, we are shortly coming up in Film nagar, Banjara Hills, Madhapur, Gachibowli and other areas of the city”.  Ashwin, the cofounder said “We have tied up with L&T Metrorail and will be opening 33 outlets across Hyderabad in as many stations according to the Metrorail project, phasewise. We are also looking at other cities like Bangalore, Chennai etc and equipping ourselves for the same.We will have more than 40 outlets by end of next year.” 

This brand has recently won The Times of India Nightlife award for “Newcomer of the year, Best Milkshakes” and “Best Desserts in Hyderabad” by Mouthshut.com. The brothers have also launched their own stone ice cream brand “Godrayes” last week in Tirumalgiri. They are planning to operate both brands as separate entities and looking to expand primarily via company outlets as well as a few franchisee outlets.“We aim to become India’s biggest Milkshake brand in the times to come. There is a huge potential for QSR in India. We are working to leverage the online channel by using technology in a big way in the future.Ola Cabs has recently partnered with us for their “Ola Cafe” and are delivering our shakes via their Ola cabs. At the moment, they are bootstrapped & self-funded.  In the future, we will explore to raise Venture financing from VC’s from whom we have expressions of interests and we also we have huge of number of franchise enquiries”, they said
.
Today’s store was opened by Tollywood Actresses Akanksha Mohan & Rashmi Thakur. The chief guest was Ruchika Sharma, Mrs. South Asia International, and Founder & President – Being Women (NGO). The ThickShake Factory has tied up with the NGO to bring a smile on some underprivileged kids by sponsoring shakes over a period of 3 months. We are trying to do a tiny bit of contribution in our own, small way to the society, the founders were quoted as saying.
