Architect Jaya Kiran Creating Trend

 the "ARCHITECT" says

“We try to stay ahead of the curve, most often looking beyond and outside the design industry.” Quips Jayakiran. As a profession, architecture has evolved in every 10 years, or more so evolve with the times.  Jayakiran an architect noted for his research, innovation and inventive design founded Shilpalaya Associates Hyderabad in 1994. With twenty-four professionals, their work has been described as beautifully crafted, thoughtfully made designs which are holistically integrated to site, program and people.

In two decade’s time the firm has grown from strength to strength. Jayakiran continues to design from his strengths, even as his work incorporates new technology. "I'm no different in my mind than when I first started," he says. "I'm doing the same kind of things now I would have done 15+ years ago. I feel like a 20-year-old."

To further its understanding of architecture and develop new ways to see, design and conceptualize, Shilpalaya has committed substantial resources to ongoing research, development and innovation. The designs are often a response to the ever-changing urban fabric. Knowing it and understanding its culture, economics, and energy is very important

Shilpalaya Associates, today is at the intersection of the urban, the rural and the natural. We embrace reinvention and collaborate with other fields to rethink architecture ‘in the world.’ In the face of overwhelming challenges and increasingly normative scenarios, we remain stubborn in our commitment to imagine alternate scenarios for the future of cities. We appropriate the more productive aspects of the urban discourse – from density and compression, to appropriateness of scale, the expression of intelligent and shared infrastructures, and a more careful integration between architecture, landscape and ecological systems – to bear upon architecture as we find shared concerns across our global practice.

Our beginning have been humble. In the year 1998 we started with a staff of 3 members and now the employment in the company has reached to a number of 18. At the early stage the company was into the Architects and designing.  At the later stage it has diversified its business to the other areas like interiors, urban planning, and Landscapes. Establish latest available technology in the field of construction in able to contribute to the development of the local construction industry.

For Jayakiran, on working on the project ‘Cave’ at Jubilee Hills was a sort of reinventing the approach in Design. Tollywood Director Puri Jagannadh office cum residence is talk of the town for the good taste and class. The abode 'Cave' has state of the art office with all amenities. Few in India has got this kind of office cum residence providing all facilities with an artistic and aesthetic touch.

Kancheepuram Varamahalakshmi Silks at Road No. 56, Jubilee Hills has also been designed by Jayakiran, the designs transform you to a different era. Timeless, classic, and exceptional. Apart from the above Jayakiran has to his credit the design of Mandir on Road No. 12, Banjara Hills, and Palm Exotica Resort.

On a parting note Jayakiran says “Good design is not a matter of chance, nor is it driven by notions. The outcome is an iterative process of working with clients, asking questions, listening and applying rigorous problem solving strategies”--
